meet zipporiah

Zipporiah S. Brockman was born and raised in Morrilton, Arkansas. She is an award-winning poet and author of seven books. Four collections of Poetry, a children’s book, an anthology of her collected literary work and her newly published book, “Ride the Wave (Your Relationship with Grief)”. Zipporiah is an internationally recognized poet who was named the “International Ambassador of Poetry” in 2004, as well as receiving the International Poets Editor’s Choice Award.

 Zipporiah is the founder of Holbrook Publishing, LLC., the Bean Mug Books & Coffee, a book resale, and gourmet coffee company.  Zipporiah is also the creator of “Wedding Writers”, a company designed to write and create marriage proposals, wedding vows, anniversary poems, etc. She is a noted screenwriter, playwright, editor, and motivational speaker. She has been writing since the age of  seven. As a child, her fondness for reading was nurtured by her mother, Carolyn, and her elementary school teacher, Ms. Compton.

 Zipporiah’s love for Poetry developed while in 2nd grade learning rhythm, phonetics, and verse structure. It was at that time her mother bought her a collection of poetry written by Dr. Maya Angelou. She learned and recited the famous poem, “Phenomenal Woman”, at church and never looked back. While in grade school, Zipporiah began writing her own verses and excelled in the areas of English and Literature. “I always knew I wanted to be a writer or a lawyer. I figured I’d pursue the most exhausting of the two!”
